Most Instagrammable Spots in Chinatown London

Most instagrammable spots Chinatown London

Chinatown London is rich in history and cuisine heritage….. Oh wait, you’re just here for the gram? Cool, cool. Let’s talk about that instead.

Chinatown London has only got prettier as time’s gone on and underneath the rich stories that fill the streets (did you know this about Bubblewrap’s egg waffles for example?), there’s plenty to make for an interesting grid.

Here, we take you through the streets of Chinatown London with all of the map pinpoints you’re going to want to stop, snap and share.

1. Opium London

Opium London

Behind the jade green door is the Opium Cocktail and Dim Sum Parlour. There’s a different room on each floor so you can get a whole folder of content from just one visit. The Apothecary has walls filled with medicinal bottles, The Academy has booths to lounge in and Peony which is well known for being the most romantic (and exclusive) spot to capture the moment.

2. Lucky Foods

Lucky Foods is one of Chinatown’s punchy gems where rows and rows of brightly-coloured products tins, jars and packets fill the shelves just asking to be fawned over. Add a few hanging baskets of overflowing with fresh flowers and you can see why it’s impossible to pass by without a glance!

3. Doughnut time

The mint green exterior and well-positioned clock make the hole-in-the-wall that is Doughnut Time a photo favourite. Add the sherbet coloured boxes and of course, the delicious looking doughnuts, all that’s left to consider is who can get the most creative shot.

4. Experimental Cocktail Club

The black door outside may not be the most beautiful spot but that’s kind of the point. At the Experimental Cocktail Club the real magic happens inside. Enter the labyrinth and you’ll find 1920s glamour and bare brick which as we all know, is the perfect late-night backdrop. The lighting is low so better bring someone who knows how to work a flash.

5. Bubblewrap

If you haven’t been to Bubblewrap and taken a photo of your cone against the sultry streets of Chinatown London have you truly been there at all? Bubblewrap’s egg waffle cones come in a variety of flavours and are just as delicious as they look.

6. Shibuya

The Shibuya’s Bingsu is Instagram worthy all by itself. Pair that with the scandi-inspired interior and you’re going to want to gram the day away. Settle into a cosy booth and enjoy a treat for your tastebuds and your followers.

7. The Mulwray

On level one of The Blue Posts Pub lies The Mulwray. Blush pink seating, a wine rack that’s full to the brim with beautiful bottles and food that looks great from whichever angle you choose. That says a great evening to us!

8. Light lounge

Set in the heart of Newport Place is a boutique cocktail bar called Light Lounge. Visit after work and you’ll get to see why it earns its name, with floods of early evening daylight. Visit later and the light comes from sparkly chandeliers that reflect for days. Heart eyes!
